Fixed properly, not patched up

Most fences don’t need replacing all at once. Often it’s a couple of posts that have rotted at ground level, a panel that blew out in the wind, or a run of gravel boards that has given up. We replace what’s failed and leave the rest standing.

We repair closeboard and featheredge, fence panels, palisade, post and rail and stock fencing, and we carry posts, concrete posts, panels, gravel boards and timber at our yard in Seal, so repairs don’t hang around waiting for materials.

Common repairs

Blown-down panels and fences put back up and fixed properly, so they stay up next time.

Fence repair questions

How soon can you do the repair?

Estimates are free, and repairs are usually booked in within 4 weeks of you accepting the estimate. After big storms we get a lot of calls, so it helps to get in touch as soon as you can.

Can you repair just one or two panels?

Yes. We regularly replace single panels, boards and gravel boards, matched as closely as possible to the rest of your fence, so you don’t need a whole new fence.

My fence posts have rotted or snapped. Can you replace them?

Yes. Rotten or broken posts are one of the most common repairs we do. We can replace them in timber or concrete, and our timber posts are kiln dried and treated to highway spec for ground contact.

My fence was blown down in a storm. What should I do?

Call us on 01732 762677 or send us a photo through the contact form. We will come out, look at what can be saved, and give you a free estimate to repair or replace it.

Is it worth repairing, or should I replace the whole fence?

It depends on the age and condition of the rest of the fence. If most of it is sound, a repair is usually the sensible option. We will give you an honest view on the site visit.

Do you repair fences you didn’t put up?

Yes. We repair all kinds of fencing, whoever fitted it.
